Finding Peace for Womankind

This event was held on Saturday March 12, 2012 to raise funds to support WomanKind’s continuing efforts to empower women around the world. You can read more about my personal experience going into and coming out of the Womankind Event in the UK, but here you will find images of the days mini-workshop which focused on my curiosity cards. The deck used in this mini-workshop is my base set that looks at different conflicts in our lives and asks us to find answers to the hard questions so we are better able to express ourselves in the name of peace when we are faced with this same conflict later. Working in pairs, these women were able to get up close and personal with the Curiosity Questions and help each other explore the source of their inner and outer conflicts, move through their conflict and begin on a path to greater peace. My Curiosity Question cards come packed full of tough to answer questions that inspire introspection; only fitting as true peace lies deep inside each of us.

Having a chance to work with the cards allow the participants to see how our full program works and how developing cards for specific conflicts can be beneficial. I have been working on a workbook that helps organizations identify their own conflicts and create their own curiosity questions that can be used to move beyond the conflict and into the realm of peace. Peace with each other and peace with ourselves. Each conflict, each person, each organization has different struggles and while my broad curiosity question cards dive deep into the conflict to peace path, it is possible to work on an even more finely tuned set of cards for an organization’s particular struggles.

The greatest benefit of this event was how much it helped to empower me. Working one on one, I too was able to focus on finding peace with my own tools and the great things they can accomplish when in the right hands.

Particularly touched by Sonya’s workshop on conflict resolution – working from the heart and inner/outer peace. So absolutely struck a chord and it seems very timely to me.

The Jigsaw

Walk the jigsaw and start to resolve those complex and difficult situations. Sometimes you need to step into a different place, look at things from a different perspective and explore the underlying issues and dynamics that you’ve been wanting to resolve but haven’t yet found a way to. Peaceful Meet-up’s – Thursday 12th July

The Main Focus

An evening of creative visual approaches to explore Peaceful Solutions to life’s struggles. We will use graphic templates and visual tools to create healing conversations. Peaceful Solutions gatherings are a space to take time out from your busy schedules and hectic lives and take a moment just to explore some of the stresses you face, a problem or maybe an issue that’s been bothering you and get some support and feedback from others. It really is a group thang and this is my invitation to you to come explore and talk things out in a meaningful conversation.

It’s good to talk and often there isn’t the space for it with people close to you. Allowing more peace in, is a process, its a jog rather than a sprint and this is a unique and different approach for anyone who is open to looking differently at how to create change and get more of what they want from life. I would love to share conversations and hear about the struggles and victories you have been experiencing as we move through 2012.

There is a small charge for the workshops of £10 to cover the room hire and refreshments. Even if you are not able to join us at this month’s “peace gathering” (is that a better name for it?), I invite you to join the Peaceful Solutions Community and share your experiences there and get feedback from myself and other community members. Join the conversation and be part of a peaceful solution.
